1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using thegrimtome.world (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Platform.

The Grim Tome LLC ("The Grim Tome," "we," "us," or "our") reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

The Grim Tome is a SaaS platform for tabletop roleplaying game Dungeon Masters and players. The Platform provides tools for world-building, campaign management, session logging, AI-assisted content generation, and player collaboration.

Features include The Codex (world builder), The Saga (adventure builder), The Oracle (AI world assistant), The Chronicle (session logging), and The Vault (player portal).

3. Account Registration and Responsibilities

You must create an account to use most features of the Platform. You agree to:

• ·Provide accurate and complete registration information
• ·Maintain the security of your account credentials
• ·Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• ·Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• ·Be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction)

4. Subscription Tiers and Billing

The Grim Tome offers free and paid subscription tiers. Current pricing and features for each tier are available at thegrimtome.world/pricing. We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable advance notice. Continued use of the service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all world content you create on the Platform, including entities, session notes, adventures, and any other material you submit ("User Content").

By submitting User Content, you grant The Grim Tome LLC a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and process your content solely to provide and operate the Platform for you. We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it for any other purpose without your consent.

You are responsible for ensuring your User Content does not violate any applicable laws or third-party rights.

6. AI-Generated Content

The Platform offers AI-assisted features including character portraits, character backstories, session recaps, adventure synopses, and Oracle responses. These features are powered by third-party AI services.

• ·You retain ownership of content you create; AI-generated content produced at your request is provided for your use.
• ·AI-generated content is provided as-is and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or unexpected results.
• ·We do not use your content to train AI models.
• ·You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before sharing it with others.

7. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Platform to:

• ·Submit, transmit, or generate illegal content of any kind
• ·Harass, abuse, threaten, or harm other users
• ·Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Platform
• ·Scrape, crawl, or access the Platform via automated means without our written permission
• ·Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
• ·Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security-related features of the Platform
• ·Use the Platform to distribute malware or other harmful code

Violation of this policy may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

8. Intellectual Property

The Grim Tome LLC owns all rights to the Platform, including its software, design, code, and all platform-level content not created by users.

Unauthorized use of these marks is prohibited.

9. The Creative Fund

The Grim Tome LLC commits 2% of all paid subscription revenue to The Grim Tome Creative Fund, which distributes funds directly to independent TTRPG artists.

Artist accounts are always free. The Creative Fund distribution terms are subject to change; current details are published on the Platform.

10. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in settings.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your access to the Platform ceases and your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Grim Tome LLC disclaims all warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Grim Tome LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising out of or related to these Terms or the Platform shall not exceed the amounts you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Missouri.
